Since Stanford’s football program got rolling and Chris Petersen arrived as head coach at Washington, two things have been clear on the recruiting trail. The Cardinal have been nearly impossible to beat for offensive linemen they covet and the Huskies have done extremely well with in-state prospects they’ve targeted.
One of those things will change with offensive tackle Foster Sarell in the middle of the tug-of-war.
The nation’s No. 12 overall prospect and No. 4 offensive tackle still has a top five that includes Alabama, Nebraska and Notre Dame as well as the two Pac-12 schools, but the dynamic between the Cardinal and Huskies is intriguing.
