Following Stanford’s loss to Washington State, David Shaw addressed the media. Coach Shaw focused on the struggles on the offensive line, missed opportunities, and inefficiencies. Shaw repeatedly stated that these things are not the mark of a good football team.
“For every positive we have a negative. That’s not the sign of a good football team. That’s not the sign of a Stanford football team.”
Coach Shaw came out and said that they are simply not playing well enough to overcome the mistakes they are making, nor are they playing well enough to capitalize on their opponents mistakes.
