The 2016 Pac-12 regular season was about redemption and regression. There was no inertia. No team duplicated its record -- overall and conference -- from a year ago.
Washington and Colorado were the big stories among the five teams that moved in a positive direction. They will play Friday for the Pac-12 championship in Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The Buffaloes produced one of the great turnarounds in college football history, improving from 4-9 overall and 1-8 in Pac-12 play to 10-2 and 8-1, while the Huskies aren't far behind, perking up from 7-6 and 4-5 in 2015 to 11-1 and 8-1.
