Four-star offensive tackle Clark Yarbrough (Woodberry Forest, VA) is one of Stanford's top targets in the class of 2016, and he's officially announced his decision date.
“I will announce my commitment on May 21,” said Yarbrough, via 247sports. “It’s the last day of spring practice for us, so that will be a cool way to announce my commitment. When we all come in at the end of last practice before we break for the summer, just to let all the guys know first; thank all of the coaches, thank all of my teammates. I wouldn’t be in this situation without them. I thought that was something cool, I could do.”
The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder has named Clemson, Duke, Florida, Stanford, and Virginia as his five finalists.
Yarbrough’s latest visit was to Stanford, and he said the Cardinal definitely made an impression on him.
“I loved Stanford. It was awesome out there. It’s definitely a very different feel with the whole west coast thing, but Stanford was very impressive and definitely made an impression. I think that program has done a really good job with the offensive line, starting with Coach (Jim) Harbaugh and then Coach (David) Shaw took over.”
