Stanford Cardinal head coach David Shaw is looking defense as he approaches the long 2016 recruiting season ahead, offering both 4-star Roswell, Georgia inside linebacker Tre Lamar and 3-star strong-side defensive end Chidi Okonya over the past few days.

Lamar comes in at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, and already has offers from 25 schools, including Alabama, Clemson, Mississippi State, Florida, and Auburn. He is considered to be an early Clemson lean, but there's still plenty of time to change his mind.
Okonya is no slouch size-wise himself (6-foot-5, 216 pounds), picking up 21 offers so far, with Duke, Georgia, Miami, and Ole Miss all currently in the mix. He's considered to be on the line between a three-star and four-star, but could be a solid four with a great senior season and some beefing up in the weight room.
