The Pac-12 is up for grabs in 2015, and the Stanford Cardinal have as good a shot as any to unseat the Marcus Mariota-less Oregon Ducks as conference champs. However, some key pieces need to fall into place for that scenario to be come a reality. Here's 3 Stanford Football Players Who Need To Step Up In 2015.
QB Kevin Hogan
Hogan is the obvious choice here, seeing that the highly-touted signal caller has thrown for over 3,000 yards in a season yet now did he throw for more than 300 yards in any single game last season. Andrew Luck's long shadow still looms over him, but 2015 is the perfect time to cast it off with a season-long performance to remember.
OLB Peter Kalambayi
Kalambayi showed a dominant pass-rushing streak in limited doses in 2014. With the Stanford front seven torn apart by departures, he'll have to take on a much more vital role for the Cardinal to have a chance at a conference crown.
WR Devon Cajuste
With Ty Montgomery off to the NFL, the #1 wideout load rests on the shoulders of the fifth-year senior. Cajuste caught 34 balls for 557 yards and six touchdowns last season, but Stanford will likely look for his production to nearly double in a true feature role.
