Jack Flaherty picked up just about where he left off. After he allowed a lead off single to Josh Harrison and saw him move up to 2B when Jose Martinez whiffed on a catchable pickoff throw, he struck out Cervelli swinging, got Marte to ground out to SS, and struck out Bell looking at a slider at the bottom of the zone. He threw 18 pitches.

The Cardinal offense then ambushed Trevor Williams.
