CHICAGO • Although the Cardinals determined Wednesday morning that Kolten Wong was "asymptomatic," according to manager Mike Matheny, the young infielder had to continue to undergo tests through Thursday due to concussion protocols in place by Major League Baseball.
At the earliest, Wong can be cleared to play Thursday night in Pittsburgh.
Wong said he wouldn't be surprised if they gave him until Friday.
Wong went through a series of tests Wednesday at the ballpark that included working out on the bike to get his heart rate up. He said the headache had passed and that the dizziness he felt was short.
