Q. Can you describe what this week is like with a lot of things in limbo?
MIKE MATHENY: Yeah. There's no question a lot of it's revolving around continuing to make conversations with Jason and trying to figure out how that looks and that will determine how we move forward. I know that those conversations happen, and we agree that they can.
In the meanwhile, we've made some moves that will help us be better as a club.
Q. Have you had direct conversations with Jason this winter?
MIKE MATHENY: Yeah, we're a texting culture, so we -- whenever he was given awards and he put some things on his mantel this winter, I always followed up.
