Trey Wingo has resurfaced, six months after his long and high-profile run on ESPN concluded.
The “Golic and Wingo” show, which he did with Mike Golic, was canceled in July to essentially end a 23-year stint at the network, though Wingo’s final official day with the company did not come until late November.
But now Wingo, who joined ESPN in 1997 following a six-year stint as a sportscaster in St. Louis KSDK (Channel 5), has begun a podcast and is a broadcaster this week on PGA Tour Live, the Professional Golfers Association’s streaming channel that concentrates on groups of players as they traverse the course.
