Yadier Molina already had given his brother, Bengie, something to talk about when he homered in the fifth inning Thursday at Busch Stadium as Bengie was doing a Spanish internet radio broadcast upstairs, part of a promotion for Hispanic Heritage month.
But, after the Cincinnati Reds tied the game in the ninth thanks to a fly ball misplayed by center fielder Randal Grichuk, Molina gave his brother even more fodder. He doubled to left with two outs to score Matt Carpenter from first base and provide the Cardinals a 4-3 victory, maintaining their position in the wild-card derby.
