MILWAUKEE — Following a late afternoon meal Monday in the clubhouse at American Family Field, a few hours before he’d once again duel an opponent’s ace, Miles Mikolas looked himself in mirror. He curled some dental floss around an index finger. And he went to work on a perfect metaphor for how the National League Central will be won.
Mikolas slipped with the floss and popped a gold cap off a back molar, sending it tumbling into the drain, where it had to be fished out later.
What’s true in dentistry is true in the division.
The difference can be floss thin when it comes to keeping the crown.
