Well, we know they're in 1st place in the National League Central. They have the best record in baseball. And Sports Illustrated calls the team "an unkillable, unstoppable force" on its cover this week.
Some fans crow when their team makes the SI cover; others consider it a curse.
The cover photo shows right fielder Jason Heyward, who got pulled out of Monday night's game against the Giants with a tight left hamstring. An update to his condition is expected later Tuesday.
For the record, the May 20, 2013, SI cover showed Cardinals starting pitchers, including Jaime Garcia and Jake Westbrook.
