Welcome back Luke: Called up by Cards in the morning, Voit comes through at night

Pinch hitting for reliever Mike Mayers in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded, Voit singled to left field, driving in two runs and putting the tying run on third base with no one out. Voit came out for pinch-runner Luke Weaver, which assured him of a good view from the dugout for Yairo Munoz's game-winning three-run home run that gave the Cardinals a stunning 10-8 win over the Pirates.

Voit, who went to Lafayette High in Wildwood, may be struggling at the plate in Memphis (in addition to hitting .237, he has one home run and 12 runs batted in in 34 games), but as a big-league pinch hitter, he's doing a lot better.
