CINCINNATI • Cardinals reliever Jordan Walden's long return from shoulder trouble has slowed once again.
Walden has been recalled from his minor-league rehab assignment. That puts a stop to the 30-day clock on his recovery, and it leaves the Cardinals once against assessing where their planned setup righthander factors into the plans for the rest of the season.
"One step forward," manager Mike Matheny said. "Two steps back."
