WASHINGTON -- Right-hander Adam Wainwright will return to the Cardinals' rotation for next Monday's start against the Pirates, manager Mike Shildt announced before Monday's game against the Nationals.
With the return of Wainwright, who has been on the disabled list since May 17 due to right elbow inflammation, the Cardinals will shift Luke Weaver and Daniel Poncedeleon to the bullpen.
