ATLANTA • From the start of Sunday’s game here when Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright allowed two hits in the first three pitches to Atlanta Braves hitters, it was clear the Cardinals’ ace again did not have the command he has been seeking much of the spring.
Wainwright survived an uncharacteristic three walks in the first two innings but he did not survive the fourth one in the fourth. Tyler Flowers walked after Hector Olivera doubled and, one out later, Drew Stubbs ripped a three-run homer over the center-field wall and the Braves had caught the Cardinals at 4-4.
