JUPITER, Fla. • Starter Michacl Wacha and righthanded relievers Matt Bowman, Sam Tuivailala and Dominic Leone are slated to pitch for the first time this spring Monday when the Cardinals start a three-game swing to Florida’s West Coast, meeting the Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers.
Shortstop Paul DeJong is the only member of the prospective Cardinals starting lineup on the trip although Jose Martinez, who started at first base late last season, will be there again on Monday.
In camp news, lefthander Brett Cecil, who was late in arriving because of a family emergency, has begun throwing bullpen sessions.
