MILWAUKEE • Michael Wacha, who was off to an 8-2 start last season before suffering a strained left oblique while swinging the bat — he is an .080 career batsman — will make his first regular-season appearance since June 20 when he faces the Milwaukee Brewers Sunday in the finale of a four-game series.
This is Wacha’s time of year. He is 14-5 in March-April with his winning percentage of .737 in that time frame second only to the New York Yankees’ Masahiro Tanaka (.778) among active pitchers.
