The Cardinals have played on the 10-day injured list righthander Michael Wacha, who was to have started Tuesday here against the Milwaukee Brewers. Wacha, whose injury list time can be backdated to April 19, is suffering from left knee patellar tendinitis.
To replace him on the roster initially, infielder/outfielder Drew Robinson, who has been hot at Class AAA Memphis since being sent down again a week ago, will be recalled for Monday night’s game against the Brewers. Another move will have to be made on Tuesday by the Cardinals to have a pitcher for that night’s game and all signs point to righthander Daniel Ponce de Leon, who would be on proper rest and who isn’t listed on the Memphis probable pitchers for the next few days.
