CINCINNATI • The plan on Saturday was to sit around and wait out the rain for as long as it was necessary to get a baseball game in.
The rain slowed to a drizzle as they prepped the field, and with the clouds still spitting a bit the game began on time, and the Cardinals went dutifully along their way to a victory. Their chance at sweeping the four-game series against Cincinnati could dampen Sunday, however, as the storm that's planted itself over Cincinnati appears a little more stubborn and longer than Saturday's.
