Through seven, Cardinals' offense still sputtering

The Cardinals managed to figure out Scott Feldman in the seventh, forcing him from the game, but couldn't bring home a run.

First baseman Matt Carpenter drew a leadoff walk after falling behind on an 0-2 count, and left fielder Matt Adams then singled to right field. Reds manager Bryan Price double switched Feldman out and brought in Patrick Kivlehan to replace right fielder Scott Schebler.

Right hander Blake Wood came on in relief for the Reds, and the first batter he faced, catcher Yadier Molina, grounded into a 5-4-3 double play and all but erased the threat.
