Through five innings, Cards lead the Brewers 3-0

The Cardinals took advantage of the game's first error, coming up with three runs in the fourth Saturday.

Back in the lineup after missing two games with an ankle injury, Stephen Piscotty reached to lead off the inning when a throw from Brewers shortstop Jonathan Villar pulled first baseman Chris Carter off the bag. An out later, Yadier Molina lined a hit-and-run single up the middle as Piscotty raced to third. It was the 1,500th hit of Molina's major-league career.

Kolten Wong followed with a hit to the gap in right center that went for a two-run triple when the diving attempt of Milwaukee right fielder Ramon Flores came up short.
