The perfect time for this article to appear would have been on June 25th, but I was not a member of the VEB staff then. Since the timing is close and the Cardinals are playing the Rockies right now, as they were a little more than 5 years ago, I thought I would give you some Sunday reading and turn the clock a bit back to describe an unusual transaction the Cards made that you will never see again.
