The cat's meow: Molina hits grand slam to put Cards up 8-5

In the kind of moment that, well, will be long remembered if the Cardinals somehow salvage this season and make the playoffs, Yadier Molina hit a grand slam home run in the sixth inning Wednesday night to give the Cardinals an 8-5 lead over the Royals at Busch Stadium.

What made the moment even more dramatic was just before Molina's slam, the game was delayed by a cat who ran from somewhere behind third base out to center field where a member of the grounds crew finally caught up with the dark gray cat -- who looked more like a cute little kitten with overly furry ears -- and took it off the field.
