Adam Wainwright authored six steady innings for his 150th career win and Marcell Ozuna’s three-run homer catapulted the Cardinals to a 5-2 victory.
The Cardinals’ seven-run inning to win Monday did not include a home run, but did feature four times that a Cardinal took an extra base on the basepaths. The win Tuesday had a pivotal run scored after Matt Carpenter stole a base, and the decisive run scored when Jose Martinez went from first to home on a double.
