For the second-straight night, the St. Louis Cardinals came from behind to defeat the division-rival Chicago Cubs in front of a packed house at Busch Stadium, this time winning by a 7-4 final to make it eight-straight victories.
After falling behind 4-1 after Chicago scored three runs in the top of the fifth, once again, St. Louis answered right back, scoring three of their own to tie things up 4-4. Those three runs came courtesy of a three-run shot off the bat of Matt Carpenter, who is red-hot of late.
