Stop me if you’ve heard this before: the St. Louis Cardinals (49-24) pulled out another win after trailing late in a game. This time against the Cubs, an unlikely hero emerged in Greg Garcia, who hit his first major league home run to tie the game in the 8th. The Redbirds would then load the bases up for Jhonny Peralta, who would drive in Peter Bourjos for the winning run in the 10th.
2B Kolten Wong has produced well this season, but the rest of the team hasn’t been able to maintain consistency with him.
