Sometimes when you get an opportunity to play, you need to make the most of it. That’s exactly what Greg Garcia did in the St. Louis Cardinals‘ 6-1 win over the Reds yesterday. The Cardinals also used a strong performance by starting pitcher Miles Mikolas to take game three of the series. The Cards will look to sweep the Reds today before heading to Chicago tomorrow.
Game recap
The St. Louis Cardinals immediately jumped on Reds’ starter Brandon Finnegan in the top half of the first inning. After Tommy Pham and Paul DeJong both drew walks to start the frame, red-hot Jose Martinez drove a pitch deep into the outfield.
