Welcome to the third edition of my preview of the St. Louis Cardinals’ MLB Draft. I am going to be discussing a third option for the Cardinals in the first round. This third option is University of Arizona SS Kevin Newman.
This is a player in which most mock drafts are predicting the Cardinals take with the 23rd pick in the MLB Draft. Continuing the thought that the Cardinals are trying to beef up their SS depth. However, the caveat here is that it is really unknown whether or not Newman can really stay at SS, as his defensive range and arm aren’t really great.
