Exceptionally talented outfielder Sierra is rebounding from a rought start in his first shot at full-season baseball. Brian Walton/The Cardinal Nation
Magneuris Sierra opened the eyes of scouts and fans last season when he won the GCL batting title with a .386 average to go along with a .434 on-base percentage and a .505 slugging percentage. He plays a smooth center field and has plus speed, resulting in 13 steals in 52 games. An aggressive promotion for the newly-turned 19-year-old outfielder landed him with the Peoria Chiefs. His season started rough. In his first 6 games, Sierra went 2-for-21 with 6 strikeouts.
