When Albert Pujols left St. Louis, many tears were shed. Venom flowed as the St. Louis faithful turned on their once-beloved hero as he took his talents to Southern California. In the wake of Pujols’ departure, though, St. Louis received two selections in the 2012 First Year Player Draft, the Angels’ first pick (#19) and a compensatory pick (#36). With the 19th selection, St. Louis selected rookie phenom, postseason hero, and apparent ace-in-the-making, Michael Wacha.
