The stalwart, catcher Yadier Molina, and the repeat hopeful, rightfielder Jason Heyward. Every year, these awards spark conspiracy theories about the influence of offensive numbers. When Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and Paul Goldschmidt are in play, it’s bound to happen.
