Sounds Silence Redbirds

There was very limited sound coming off the bats of the Redbirds on Tuesday night as they fell 7-1 to the Nashville Sounds. The Redbirds fell to 35-31 on the season and now sit five games behind the Round Rock Express for first in the Pacific Coast League.

Scoring quickly began in the bottom of the first inning when Nashville’s Jason Pridie hit a two RBI double to give the Sounds a 2-0 lead. Nashville would score again on a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the third to make it 3-0.

The Redbirds would get on the scoreboard in the top of the seventh when Stephen Piscotty grounded out and Rafael Ortega would score in the process making the game 3-1.
