Trevor Rosenthal tied two all-time Cardinals greats with his 47th save of the season earlier this week.
On Monday night, St. Louis Cardinals closer Trevor Rosenthal tied the team's franchise record with his 47th save of the season, bringing him even with Lee Smith (who picked up 47 saves in 1991) and Jason Isringhausen (who did so in 2004).
As Dan O'Neill of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch mentioned, Rosenthal has a tendency to keep the baseball from each of his saves.
