Rosenthal takes rare walk on wild side as Cards bow 5-2

JUPITER, Fla. •_Cardinals closer Trevor Rosenthal, pitching the third inning in March instead of the ninth in April, did something Sunday he did only twice last year in 68 games and not at all from June 1. He walked two hitters in the same inning.

Although Rosenthal also struck out the final two batters he faced in the inning, the walks led to two Washington Nationals runs and the Nationals went on to a 5-2 exhibition victory.

Randal Grichuk, four for six this spring, was the hitting star for the Cardinals, doubling twice although he scored neither time.
