Trevor Rosenthal found a crowd of reporters gathering around him in the Cardinals clubhouse after Monday's 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
Usually, that means he's done something wrong, like blown a save, but that wasn't the case this time. He threw two scoreless innings, one quick and efficient, one not so much, but got out of them without allowing any runs and buying time for the Cardinals to win in the 10th inning.
“He’s having a great season,” manager Mike Matheny said. “You look at the consistency that he’s having. the way he’s attacking hitters like his overall approach, what’s there not to like about his stuff?
