MILWAUKEE • The Cardinals reverted to 12 pitchers from 13 with the optioning of Giovanny Gallegos, who got to pitch in his native Mexico Sunday, and the recall of utilityman Drew Robinson from Class AAA Memphis.
In addition, utilityman Yairo Munoz, who was the 26th man for the out of-country series with Cincinnati, was returned to Memphis where he must spent at least a couple of more days before he can be recalled from his option of just more than a week ago.
Gallegos gained his first major league win on Thursday in St. Louis but allowed a home run in his lone inning on Sunday in Mexico.
