Cardinals television broadcaster Al Hrabosky, who has been sidelined for about a month after undergoing an unspecified medical procedure, is expected to return soon.
Hrabosky, a former standout closer in the big leagues who had his most dominant run with the Cardinals in the 1970s, has a mixture of roles on Fox Sports Midwest’s Cardinals telecasts. He sometimes is in the booth as an analyst, other times he’s in the studio providing commentary on pregame and postgame shows.
“I saw Al recently at a cocktail party and he looked like a movie star, he just looked terrific,” Fox Sports Midwest general manager Jack Donovan said.
