Pitcher's single sets up four-run inning for Braves

ATLANTA •Atlanta righthander Matt Wisler beat the Cardinals with his arm twice last season as a rookie, holding them to two runs in 15 2/3 innings. He added his bat to the equation Friday night when he singled to ignite a four-run outburst for the Braves, breaking a scoreless tie in the third inning.

Wisler lined a single to right where Stephen Piscotty made a sliding stop to keep the ball from getting past him. A single by Drew Stubbs, who had come in for injured center fielder Ender Inciarte, sent Wisler to third. Stubbs stole second as Garcia didn’t check him and Erick Aybar sent a fly ball to Piscotty in medium right field.
