Piscotty home run gives Cardinals 2-0 lead

After being robbed of a home run in his first at-bat Wednesday night, Stephen Piscotty put one where the Giants couldn't get to it in the third inning.

The rookie outfielder launched a 394-foot homer to left field off Matt Cain to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead. It was his second homer of the season.

Piscotty had the distance for a homer to the opposite field in the first inning, but center fielder Juan Perez went over the wall to make the catch.

The Cardinals have hit San Francisco starter Matt Cain hard thus far.
