Pirates pounce on Bowman in four-run seventh

Matt Bowman didn't get an out.

The right-handed reliever became the victim of the Pirates' four-run seventh inning that was defined by Gregory Polanco's barely-there, three-run homer.

The Pirates now lead 8-2.

Polanco's fourth homer of the season was probably his luckiest. It squeaked over the facet in the left field corner. The shot scored Andrew McCutchen, whose RBI single to left earlier in the inning made 5-2, along with pinch runner Sean Rodriguez.

Bowman got off to a rough start, walking the first batter he faced. He then surrendered a double to John Jaso before McCutchen came to the plate.
