Tommy Pham whacked a 370-foot home run in the bottom of the third, giving the Cardinals a 2-1 lead over the San Diego Padres.
It was the first major league home run for Pham, who was called up two days ago. After coming off the 60-day disabled list with Class AAA Memphis, he hit .338 and clubbed five home runs.
Cardinals pitcher Lance Lynn, who notched his fifth single of the season, was the other run Pham drove in during his home run.
