MILWAUKEE • Since 1974, as far back as such granular stats go, the Cardinals have had a batter hit home runs in three consecutive at-bat seven times. The list is a who's who of sounds sluggers, from Albert Pujols (three times) to Reggie Smith, Lance Berkman to Troy Glaus.
Now there is a rookie on the lits.
Tommy Pham joined that select group with his second homer of the evening. Pham's two two-run homers are the difference in the Cardinals 5-4 lead through five innings at Miller Park. He hit a home run this past weekend in Cincinnati, didn't play Tuesday, and then slugged homers in his first two at-bats tonight against the Brewers.
