SEATTLE — The Cardinals began their longest road trip of the season by adding an extra day to it and packing something they’ve not had in any previous series so far this season.
Their bullpen is fully stocked and available.
The Cardinals traveled to Seattle on Wednesday evening, arriving just ahead of dinner time and allowing for an entire off day in the area Thursday. Manager Oliver Marmol and his staff had a feast of sushi together that night. The off day gave rest to all of the relievers, and for the first time the Cardinals begin a series without one member of the bullpen off limits due to soreness, such as Giovanny Gallegos (back) in the first series, or illness, Jordan Hicks in Colorado.
