Marcell Ozuna returned to the active roster Saturday before the Cardinals’ interleague game against Oakland, and he went right back into the cleanup spot, behind Goldschmidt. Since Ozuna fractured his right hand diving back into first base on June 28, Goldschmidt has had his best streak as a Cardinal, raising his slugging percentage from .407 to .478 and winning the National League’s Player of the Month Award for July. Goldschmidt hit .308 with a .725 slugging percentage, 27 RBIs, and a career-best 11 home runs to win the player of the month award for the second time in his career.
