ST. LOUIS -- Dropped from the cleanup spot because of his struggles driving the ball this season, Marcell Ozuna feasted on Jose Quintana's first-inning curveball Saturday afternoon to snap a 35-game homerless streak.
The grand slam followed a pair of singles and two walks issues by the Cubs' lefty starter. Ozuna worked a seven-pitch at-bat that included line drives barely foul down both lines at Busch Stadium before tattooing a pitch 434 feet into the seats in left-center field. It was his fifth career grand slam and his second this season.
Ozuna had gone 152 plate appearances between home runs.
