Gary and Denise Ebers bought into the “Cardinal Way” since they were children. They raised their kids on the Redbirds, and now they’re instilling that devotion on their grandchildren.
They are members of one of the most loyal and knowledgeable fan bases in baseball, and they were back at Busch Stadium among the sellout crowd of 46,735 to watch their Cardinals face the Pirates.
We visited with the Ebers family and several other fans Saturday night to ask if the 2017 team has lived up to the franchise’s standards that have been in place since before George Kissell put together a Cardinal Way manual in 1969.
