Long, 19, and the Mack siblings are emblematic of the disconnect that has existed between baseball and large portions of the African-American community for many years now, if not decades. Through their powerful and elegant voices and with the help of the Cardinals, a St. Louis Symphony composer and the Ferguson-based L.I.F.E. Arts Community Partnership, they hope to share Gibson’s story this season.
