JUPITER, Fla. • Veterans Adam Wainwright, Dexter Fowler and Yadier Molina were among the first group of Cardinals who were bused away Thursday morning for an offsite team-building exercise.
The Cardinals went to Legends of Xscape — Escape Room in nearby West Palm Beach, where the players worked in groups to escape themed rooms.
Half the Cardinals in camp made the first trip while the other half went through the workout at Roger Dean Stadium. Then the second group went on the field trip after the first group returned to practice.
Early this morning, manager Mike Matheny preferred to keep information about the event, which was originally proposed by Wainwright, between the team.
